INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND EXHIBITION ON NATURAL DYES

ISEND 2011 Europe has been elected as the best international symposium wich took place in France in 2011.

 

We will give a special thanks to all the participants and in particular to all  the lecturers, the artists and craftsmen who exhibited their work or did a dyeing demonstration, the film producers or poster contributors, the Natural History Museum and the Aquarium of La Rochelle, the Art and Fashion schools, the guides of the technical outings, the sponsors... who contributed to made of this event a such success. ISEND-WEFT 2012 will provide a platform for discussing the crucial issues facing the cultural and economic revival of natural dyes and colorants, and to present the success stories of practitioners and the continuing efforts many are making to convert , recycle, re-use waste plant material to usable dyes, crafts, textiles and fashion.

 

ISEND-WEFT 2012 will last for five days, featuring lectures, posters, films, dyeing demonstrations, a market of natural dyes and pigments and products using them, specially curated exhibitions and a Gala International Fashion Show.
